What is going on with the weather???? Tornadoes and now this outrageous flooding of the Mississippi River! This is a s-e-r-i-o-u-s situation.

If they DON'T open the Morganza Floodway the levees in New Orleans could fail -again- and there would be massive flooding in the city.

If they DO open the floodway- the following map from the washington post gives you an idea of the massive destruction other parts of Louisiana will face. Many farms are located on the projected flood pattern.
