I watched the last Atlantis Shuttle take off last Friday and I wish I could have been there. Even though it only lasted a few seconds, I imagine it was a great place to be. What will the future hold for US Space Travel? I'm not feeling the commercial root, I think we need to stimulate interest and career paths in Science. Don't we want kids to say they want to be an Astronaut or Rocket Scientist when they grow up?

I'm feeling a need to watch Apollo 13.

Found this interactive infographic from the New York Times. Using census data they created this to show the ways the American household is changing.

I think this will make researching family history more challenging in the future. It's so common to find leads and connections from census records in the past because the extended family often lived together or nearby. And with these large households they might have stayed put a little longer than the current households with individuals and locations changing yearly. I was so bummed after I filled out my first census record ever while I was living in New Jersey and then moved to Brooklyn a month later!

* perfect infographic to spark an organized discussion

I think this might be one of the best ways for me to describe what I'm talking about with my crazy named degree...Organizational Communications, Learning, and Design [Corporate Communications].
